A great deal of sightseeing, shopping, eating, and general browsing can be accomplished on foot as many sites of interest are clustered together in the downtown area and at Stearns Wharf. From Los Angeles Airport (LAX)
Start going West on the ramp and merge onto South Sepulveda Blvd. Bear right onto Howard Hughes Parkway, which then becomes a ramp, merging onto the I-405 North. Then merge onto the US-101 North highway toward Ventura. Take the Garden St. exit (exit 96B) toward Downtown. Turn right on Garden St. and then left onto E. Gutierrez St. Turn right onto Santa Barbara St. and you will be in the vicinity of downtown Santa Barbara.
From San Francisco Airport (SFO)
Go east toward the Domestic Terminal Acc. and turn right onto South Link Rd. Turn right onto North McDonnell Road, and turn right onto Road 18. You'll make a slight right onto Airport Exit and then merge onto the US-101 South toward San Jose. Continue South on US-101 you will arrive in Santa Barbara. |
